If we would have the National grill championship, the finals would always be at Ceasu’ Rău. The kitchen labors constantly, and on no table the plates wait sadly for their food.
The grill accompanies you as you enter the terrace from Iuliu Maniu 56. The Romanian food cook book seems just like the one grandma used, warm and understanding, always waiting for you with the fire started and the table set. You have just to choose, and you have plenty of choices: Smoked hock, with baked beans, or maybe some chicken breast, with sour cream and mushrooms, or some sheep pastrami, with polenta, and why not, some beef loin with mushroom and bacon.
Still, head our honest and serious warning. At Ceasu’ Rău with the menu in front of you, you can have a huge problem deciding: Pork ribs or spicy pork ribs. On the grill, of course.
The warm rooms and the evergreen terrace are places where, in Brasov, you always feel among friends. Only the cups of grape juice and the jars of pickles let you know, once a year, that autumn is here again.
